Today’s first design inspiration is a hand-printed, limited edition silkscreen poster titled “Typebomber“. Drop letters not bombs, right? Kill them with kearning. No? Okay, sorry I’m done. In all seriousness, I really like this poster and the clever idea. This simple concept takes the idea of a bomber jet and turns it into a fun idea of these destructive vehicles dropping letters. I like the spacing between the letters falling, giving them a natural falling look. To me, the best part is that you can’t really tell what it is until you get closer and the “Ah-hah!” moment kicks in once you realize what it is.
This series is a limited run of 12 pieces and comes in your choice of white, black, and grey. Each poster is approximately 20″x28″ (50×70 cm) and comes in a high glass & matte finish. On all posters, the ink color is gold. Want to order one? Head over to the project page now.
