Today’s second design inspiration is a video that documents a project called “Art in the Streets” and features the work of designer Barry McGee. This is a mural of his works that was done on the side of a building in Brooklyn. The video itself is done well, but Barry’s work is the star. I think my favorite part of the video is when other artists that are helping paint the mural talk about Barry and their relationship from his art. Whether it was some of his first works as graffiti or if it was his mosaic style 3D shapes, everyone can connect to his art. As one artist put it, he designs for everyone. I try to do the same thing with my work and strive to be as successful as Barry.
