Today’s second design inspiration is more inspiration than design and is titled Doing vs. Liking. I’m not a huge fan of the typography or the somewhat random line below the text, however the photography and composition seem to work for me. With that being said, I know any creative person can identify with this outlook because that’s what motivates us on a daily basis. I personally like to strive to have both aspects working in unison. I want to like what I do and do what I like, giving both me freedom and happiness.
For example: I like snowboarding, so when I’m riding, I’m doing what I like to do and I’m also liking what I’m doing. This is why there’s something about the feeling of listening to music and just cruising down the mountain: it’s one of my favorite things to do all year, which brings me to the other side of that. If it’s summer, I still like snowboarding, however due to the wonderful weather in my area, I can’t. I can still be doing something else that I enjoy, however the two won’t always go in unison like they do in the winter. For that time, I’m filled with happiness and freedom. What more can you really ask for?
