Today’s first design inspiration is an animation for La Poste by French motion designer Edouard Salier. Even though it’s not, the entire video looks to be filmed in one continuous shot moving around the environment. It looks to me as if the animation is stop motion, which is where you take a picture one frame at a time and then piece multiples frames together per second to create moving pieces. As the camera flies around, all of the elements which appear to be made out of paper open and close to discover new sections of the environment. I think this style is great for La Poste as it makes them seem friendly and approachable. Great concept, great execution, great final product. Watch the video below and let me know what you think.
