This is my favorite piece coming from the collection of vintage domestic tourism advertisements from the USSR. You typically see advertisements for other states/countries, but rarely are you influenced to travel within the location you are at. That is what originally drew my attention to the article, until I saw this piece. This man backpacking through the woods is made up of a map. With an additional 2 colors and minimal lines, the hiker is created. It’s neat to see these vintage advertisements that still give you a connection to the piece so many years later.
