I just came across this set of black and white animated gifs titled Living Paper by Jenny Chen. These are interactive pieces that function much like the interactive books that I read as a kid. There’s a simple pull, slide, or push technique used to operate flaps that create the animations. The artist takes photos of the interactive process and pieces them together into animated gif’s. I thought it was a really neat idea and the end results were pretty successful. What do you think of the series? (via Design You Trust)
