Hey guys (and girls), I’m excited to announce that with this new week, you’ll notice a refreshed, new design when viewing my blog on a desktop/most tablets. I’ve also added some neat features to hopefully help you find what you’re looking for without any trouble at all. These added features will be present on my site, no matter what device you’re using to view my site.
Some of the features that you will find on the desktop version of my site are a new, wider layout complete with a brand new sidebar to provide you with the best inspirational projects in the click of a button. You’ll also notice with the new wide site, I’ve redesigned the navigation. Since the links in the navigation are mainly for my portfolio, I’ve determined that for the best user experience, I could remove the “sticky” navigation.
As for the features that you’ll see no matter what device you’re viewing on, I have some exciting announcements. I’ve introduced a search function that I’ve been itching to launch to help you find what you’re looking for. This is a big deal for me and I hope it helps you find the best materials to inspire you. Along with the search functionality, I’ve also introduced a tag cloud and a list of categories so you can find all entries related to a specific topic. Finally, right?
I’m currently working on a much larger redesign for my portfolio site, however I felt that this new design or little refresh on my blog was crucial for allowing you to navigate the site and find the best inspirational pieces that inspire you. Speaking of my portfolio, I’ve been building out my portfolio on Behance while I’ve been updating my site so if you’re interested in seeing some of my most recent work, you can find that here. What do you think of the new design? Are these new features helpful? Did you like the previous style better for some reason? Let me know in the comments below, any feedback is greatly appreciated!
