Here’s a gallery of some new street art by Cheko, a Houston-based artist. I’m a huge fan of his style and his use of a 2 dimensional medium and tools to create 3D looking images. He uses heavy use of shadows a pretty cool approach to gradients to help give his pieces more depth. Different elements play off of each other and create these awesome 3D pieces of art. The most interesting part of his work to me is how he still incorporates the typical graffiti style with bright colors and some more simplistic black and white elements into his more detailed works. I think they really work together seamlessly. Definitely check out the full gallery to see more of his work.
