Today’s design inspiration is another set of free resources that I promised to continue sharing as I found them. I really like using mockups with my designs for multiple reasons. An important one is that you get to show clients how your designs/concepts can look without having to get anything printed. This really comes in handy when you’re working on packaging, signage, apparel and other types of projects.
The second instance where I like using mockups is for presenting my work on my portfolio. The image above is one of my business card designs for a local business. I do have a few printed versions to put in my physical portfolio, however I like having more stylized images to bring everything together for my digital portfolio. I haven’t used these new mockups yet, but I am excited to use a few of them.
These mockups are all free downloads from PSD Covers and they look really good. They have everything from chip bags to detergent containers, brochures to magazines and iMacs to the new iPhone 5’s. They even have previews to see what an uploaded design will look like. I hope you guys like these and get some use out of them. I’d love to see what you come up with!
